Quench Chargers launches 60 kW Slimline DC fast charger

A 60 kW DC fast charging unit, Slimline, has been launched by Quench Chargers for use in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. It is intended for urban locations with limited installation space and sites with varied environmental conditions.

The Slimline operates across a wide voltage range, has an IP65-rated interface, low standby power consumption, built-in smoke detection, and is claimed by the company to be 20% more compact than standard 60 kW chargers. Slimline’s approximate dimensions are 690mm x 1485mm x 303mm and it weighs 150 kg.

“Quench Slimline is a product born out of listening to what Charge Point Operators really need in the geographies where we operate,” said Ravin Mirchandani, Chief Dream Merchant, Quench Chargers.

The charger delivers a fixed 60 kW DC output and can be installed in city centers, highways, and industrial hubs. Quench Chargers stated that future models will include a 120 kW version, with an upgrade option to 240 kW without replacing the system.
