NBC Bearings invests in Ahamani India to support drone market expansion

National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings), a CKA Birla Group company, and Ahamani EV Technology India Pvt. Ltd. (“Ahamani India”), the Indian subsidiary of Ahamani Advanced Inc., Taiwan, have announced a strategic partnership to support the commercialization and adoption of drone technologies in India. Under the agreement, NBC Bearings will invest in a 30% equity stake in Ahamani India.

The companies stated that the collaboration is aligned with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The partnership will combine Ahamani’s drone platforms, power systems, and control technologies with NBC’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities to address demand across drone applications.

Ahamani India will act as the platform to expand the availability of drone systems and components for the Indian market. The companies said the partnership will focus on developing drone solutions for multiple sectors, leveraging Ahamani’s technology base developed in Taiwan.

NBC’s manufacturing infrastructure, quality systems, and market reach are expected to support localization and deployment. The companies said the collaboration aims to reduce go-to-market timelines while maintaining performance and reliability standards. The partnership also seeks to support India’s role in supplying drone technologies for domestic and international markets.

The companies said the partnership is part of Ahamani’s India expansion plans and supports NBC’s presence in engineering and mobility-related technologies.
