Kinetic Watts & Volts partners with Jio Things for connected EV technology
Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV), the electric mobility subsidiary of Kinetic Engineering Ltd., has entered into a technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms. Under the agreement, Jio Things’ connected vehicle and IoT solutions will be integrated into Kinetic’s upcoming electric two-wheeler models.
The partnership will introduce features such as voice-assisted vehicle controls, smart digital instrument clusters, and IoT-based connectivity across KWV’s EV portfolio. These technologies are intended to support vehicle monitoring, diagnostics, and digital interaction for individual users and fleet operators.
According to the companies, the collaboration will enable the deployment of connected mobility features including real-time data display, telematics, cloud-based analytics, and infotainment applications. Jio Things’ IoT platform provides hardware, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote device management, and aftermarket support, which will be embedded into Kinetic EV models.
The connected vehicle platform is planned to be implemented across future Kinetic Watts & Volts two-wheeler offerings, with a standardized digital system across models.

The companies indicated that the collaboration is expected to support connected EV adoption, enable vehicle data analytics, and assist fleet operations through digital monitoring tools. The partnership combines Kinetic Watts & Volts’ manufacturing operations with Jio Things’ digital and connectivity platform.
The announcement follows Kinetic Group’s shift from conventional two-wheelers to electric mobility platforms, with the integration of connected systems and voice-based interfaces expanding digital features within KWV’s EV lineup and mass-market electric scooters in India.
