iGoWise Mobility raises ₹8.2 cr Pre-Seed Funding
iGoWise Mobility (iGo), a Bengaluru-based developer of electric trikes, has raised ₹8.2 crore in cumulative pre-seed funding. The investment came from ISB Angels, 888VC, and a bridge round led by Guptaji VC. The company’s first product, the BeiGo Rugged Utility Vehicle, is scheduled for market launch within 32 months of inception.
iGo has developed an anti-topple swivelling mechanism and a self-balancing system for its trikes. According to the company, the vehicles are designed to be more cost-efficient, energy-efficient, and compact compared to international peers. Built on its TwiiGo lightEV platform, the trikes are intended to handle uneven roads, slopes, and dense traffic, and are equipped with triple-disc CBS braking. iGo claims riders can reduce fuel costs and potentially increase monthly income by up to ₹7,500 by switching to its trike.
The latest round of funding will be used to support tooling and automation to reduce production costs, expand customer service and after-sales channels, continue research and development, introduce new variants, and strengthen working capital for fulfilling existing orders.
“Our journey has always been about redefining mobility to do better with less — better safety, better comfort and better accessibility with less capital, less time to market, and less dependence on imports,” said Sravan K Appana, Founder & CEO of iGo. “By focusing on frugal innovation, agile engineering and a robust & indigenous supply chain, we’ve proven that India can build world-class EV solutions that create real economic value and social impact.”
The company reports having collected over 1 lakh km of customer usage data across various terrains. Over the next 12–18 months, it plans to expand operations in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim, with deployment of 1,500 trikes through fleet partners including Hala Mobility and Elektric Express.
Ravi Teja Guptaji, Founder of Guptaji VC and GREAT (Global Rebuild Accelerator Technology), said iGo’s anti-topple technology addresses urban challenges such as traffic congestion and parking limitations. He added that the firm plans to participate in a follow-up seed round of USD 2 million in 2026.
