Ampace unveils E30P lithium-ion cell at Bharat Battery Show 2025

Ampace, a lithium-ion battery solutions provider, launched the E30P cell at the 2025 Bharat Battery Show, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 19-21. The E30P is designed for India’s electric two-wheeler market.

The E30P incorporates Ampace’s Boost Power (BP) system, which enhances energy density and safety through advanced cathode, anode, and graphite materials. This system supports efficient lithium-ion movement and reduces energy consumption, contributing to power efficiency, longer battery life, and enhanced safety, according to the company statement. The E30P cell also offers high thermal stability, preventing thermal runaway. It has passed mechanical performance testing and safety certifications to ensure reliable performance in extreme conditions. The cell supports daily fast charging, reaching 95% in 47 minutes, and emergency quick charging, achieving 50% charge in 15 minutes.

The E30P battery features a standardized 35205 cylindrical cell size (35mm diameter, 205mm height) for compatibility with various electric motorcycles, scooters, and maxi-scooters. With a 30Ah capacity, it supports different applications, including 1.5kWh batteries for commuting, 3kWh for delivery services, and high-capacity options for high-speed motorcycles. Compared to traditional 21700 cells, the E30P offers a 600% increase in capacity, reducing design complexity, manufacturing costs, and component usage, according to the company.

Rajeev Prasad, Ampace’s Director of India Market Sales, said “The E30P stands for endurance, capacity, and power—form the foundation of the E30P. This isn’t just a name; it’s a promise of reliable, high-performing energy storage that empowers customers to achieve more. We are excited to introduce the E30P to India, a solution that is tailored to meet the needs of electric two-wheelers in the country.”
