Ultraviolette Launches X-47 Venom E-Motorcycle at ₹2.65 Lakh, Introduces New VX-100 Platform

Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has introduced VX-100, its new 100V platform and launched the X-47 Venom, the next-generation version of its X-47 Crossover motorcycle and the first model built on the new architecture. The motorcycle incorporates the company’s newly developed UV LIGHTFURY motor, SRB-11 battery technology, a new motor control unit and 12 kW DC fast-charging capability.

The X-47 Venom is priced at ₹3 lakh, with an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers. Bookings opened on October 22 through Ultraviolette’s website and UV Space Stations across India, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The motorcycle is also scheduled for its European launch at EICMA 2026 in Milan (Italy) on November 3.

The X-47 Venom is powered by Ultraviolette’s newly developed UV LIGHTFURY electric motor, producing 30 kW (40 hp) of peak power and 550 Nm of torque at the wheel. The motorcycle offers a top speed of 155 km/h and an IDC range of 343 km, with acceleration from 0–60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

According to Ultraviolette, the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 180 kg, 20 kg less than the previous-generation platform, and has a ground clearance of 200 mm. Built on the new VX-100 100V architecture, it features a motor incorporating soft magnetic composites (SMC), supports 12 kW DC fast charging and comes with a 1.6 kW onboard charger. The modular platform is designed to improve efficiency, thermal management and power delivery while supporting different battery capacities and vehicle configurations.

Ultraviolette states that the motorcycle offers extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km.

The X-47 Venom incorporates SRB-11 battery technology, which, according to Ultraviolette, offers up to 20% higher energy density, twice the cooling performance and up to 50% faster heat dissipation. The IP67-rated battery system includes a pyro-fuse, Battery Management System (BMS) and cell-level fuses for electrical protection. Its new motor control unit (MCU) is reportedly twice as compact and offers three times the power density of the previous unit.

The motorcycle features UV Hypersense, a 77 GHz rear radar system with a monitoring range of up to 200 metres, providing blind-spot monitoring, lane change assistance, overtake alerts and rear collision warnings. Other features include a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, front and rear recording cameras, park assist, cruise control and Mappls navigation. The VIOLETTE A.I. system provides movement, fall, towing and crash alerts, along with remote lockdown and anti-collision warnings.

Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest designed to protect the chest, back, neck, sides and hips. According to the company, it offers 86% force attenuation, features a cervical brace, spinal protection and a mechanical tether system, requires no battery charging and can be reused up to five times.

Speaking on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “At Ultraviolette, design, engineering and technology have always evolved together, each pushing the other to unlock new possibilities. We constantly challenge ourselves to deliver greater performance, build more intelligence into our motorcycles and make every component lighter and more efficient. VX-100 is the outcome of that approach, establishing a technology foundation for a new generation of products across segments and markets. The X-47 Venom brings these advances to life, combining distinctive design with deeper engineering capabilities and technology that enhances the riding experience. As we grow, our ambition remains to keep pushing the boundaries of what electric motorcycles can deliver, guided by our own pursuit of innovation and the insights of the riders who experience our machines every day.”

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “The X-47 Venom reflects our approach to engineering the entire motorcycle as one integrated system. Its new VX-100 architecture works alongside SRB-11 battery technology, a lighter motor, and a next-generation motor control unit to improve power delivery, efficiency, and thermal performance. Each subsystem has been developed in conjunction with the others to improve power density, optimise packaging and reduce weight. With 12 kW DC fast charging and multi-tiered electro-mechanical protection, including a pyro-fuse, we have advanced performance, convenience and safety together. The result is a lighter, quicker, and supremely capable motorcycle built on a modular platform that allows us to extend these innovations across future products as we expand our portfolio and global presence.”
